When I consulted with Pooja she was mainly concerned with wanting to look natural. She wanted makeup that would even out her skin, especially under her eyes so I just new Pooja was the "miss natural bride". I assured her definitely I would create her desired look for her wedding day.... Colors used on Eyes: medium eye primer as base, Latte to set the eye primer, Terra Cotta for crease. Onyx eye pencil at the base of lashes. Cafe Noir and Rustic as eye shadows for definition. Cake liner Noir mixed with Cake Sealant to line and finish the eye look giving it a waterproof seal. Lashes: Lash primer and Lengthening mascara. (Pooja is one of the few brides who did not need fake lashes on her special day because she is blessed with a lot of lashes) Brows: fill with dark brown brow definer and set with brow fix gel. Face: For under eyes, Pooja was concerned with dark circle. Use the dark circle primer to neutralize the dark circle and age control concealer dark to even out the under eyes. Airbrush color was Khuraira’s special mixture for Olive skin. Set with Invisible Powder(which is a must!) Cheeks: Whisper blush. Lips: lip pencil Curry, lipstick Tenderness and lip gloss Savvy . A lot of women have concerns with their brows thinning or having an uneven hairs.

My recommendations are as follow:

1) Avoid waxing and define your brows using the method of tweezing with Stencil technique,(filling in the brow before tweezing) this technique create even brows all the time.

2) Trim brows to create fullness.

3) Fill in with powder and set with a brow gel for longivity.

4) For brows with very little hairs or those with spaces use a white pencil first to define and then fill in with brow powder that best matches your hair color.

Apply your Sunscreen before your Moisturizer or Primer.

First, apply a sunscreen atleast SPF of 30. Avoid using baby oil when sun bathing. Moisturize with Khuraira age control primer enriched with Peptides and anti oxidants.
Even out any imperfections with a concealer or camouflage concealer and finish look with a Matte bronzer.

Have you ever wonder how the stars get the glow with their makeup look!

My simple recommendation is to keep a skincare regiment that best works for you. Cleanse skin morning and night with a cleanser suited for your skin type. Example, Oily skin use an oil free cleanser and moisturizer. Combination skin which is oily in the T-zone area use a normal to dry cleanser and moisturizer. For dry to very dry skin use a cleanser and moisturizer that is rich in moisture. Also use Serums enriched with Colagen and Vit C .

Exfoliation is recommended twice a month for Oily and Combination skin type. Dry to very Dry skin once a month. Doing Monthly facial is also helpful for all skin types.

Achieving your flawless makeup by doing the following tips:

Eye makeup: Apply an eye primer that matches your complexion to help nuetralize the redness on your eyelid and give a lasting effect to your eye makeup. Set your eye base with a neutral eye shadow that best matches your complexion. Define eye by using a medium eye shadow on the crease and blend outward giving you an illusion of an eye lift.
Line eyes from the base of the lashes to create a thick lash effect, then finish the look by applying mascara starting from the base and then fan outward.

Face makeup: First apply a face primer to help keep your makeup. Choose the right foundation colour that matches your complexion by applying three stripes of foundation on your jaw line and pick the shade that best matches your complexion and apply it using a foundation brush. Set your foundation with an invisible powder.

Blush: Apply your blush below the apple of the cheeks and blend outwards to your hair line.

Lips: Prime lips with a lip balm before lining your lips. Apply your lip pencil by shading inwards and apply lip shade that compliments the pencil and finish the look by applying a lip gloss in the middle of the lower lip.

Tips to create a sexy Smokey look. Use a black pencil and create a thick line and then blend it out with a dark eye color using a smudge brush. Highlight with a light color in Gold best for bronzy smokey look, Silver for Grays, Blues, and black. Pink for Purples and Plums colors. Finish look with Lash Primer and lots of Mascara.

For the following Smokey Looks use these colors:

1) Greens- Black Pencil, Basil and Seaweed for eye lid and Sunflower or 24 Karat for High light (brow bone).

2) Dark Grays- Black pencil, Witchcraft and Cafe noir eye lid and Sunflower for high light.

3) Plums: Black pencil, Vino, Plush purple and violet for the eye lid and Purple essence for high light.

How did you hear about Khuraira?

After endlessly searching for airbrush makeup artists, I finally found Khuraira through the wedding website, www.theknot.com. There were many reviews and I was pleased with what I saw.

Why did you decide to get your makeup professionally done in the first place?

Well, I am getting married soon and I wanted to ensure that on my wedding day I have just something extra special. I wanted to have extra spiff, look natural, light and beautiful.

What were your expectations before you entered the boutique?

From the pictures I saw on the website, I could tell that the boutique was intimate and very comfortable. I got the vibe that it was welcoming.

What was your favorite makeup product and why?

I was honestly a little skeptical about even getting my makeup done in the first place. The last time I had makeup professionally applied I hated it and washed it off as soon as I got home! At Khuraira's, I honestly liked everything. Especially the finisher spray, it was invisible and added the final touch! I felt very pretty and like I looked natural.

What are your overall opinions about Khuraira and the boutique?

It is friendly, warm and casual. I come to the boutique at least once a week because it is my guilty makeup pleasure!

What do you like about Khuraira?

The first time I walked into the boutique I was not interested in the makeup line; I was actually picking up a gift certificate for a benefit dinner that I was hosting. Right away I felt comfortable in the boutique and became curious about the products.

What do you like about the boutique and the products?

I like that khuraira's team really cares. There is no pressure to buy any of the products; they really are just concerned about helping you look your best so that you can feel your best.

I really knew the products were amazing because of how long lasting and smooth they were. Your wedding is one of the most memorable events in your diary. It's a worthwhile investment in time, money and energy that requires months of serious planning; an event during which anything less than perfection should not be acceptable.
